1. NOVI, Mich. (WXYZ) — Authorities in Novi have reported that one teenager has lost his life and another has sustained injuries following a shooting incident that occurred outside the Michigan State Fair on Saturday evening.
The incident took place shortly before 10 p.m., prompting police to respond to reports of gunfire in the vicinity southwest of the Suburban Collection Showplace, specifically in the parking lot adjacent to Grand River Avenue.
According to law enforcement, two 14-year-old males were shot in the fair's parking area.
At this time, police have not apprehended any suspects; however, they suspect that the shooting was premeditated.
No information regarding the suspect has been disclosed.
Investigators informed us on Sunday morning that the two boys had taken an Uber from Detroit to Farmington Hills, followed by another Uber ride to the fair with friends. They believe the shooting may have originated from an ongoing dispute involving the teenagers that had persisted throughout the week.
