The controversy arose when a staff member from Trump's campaign allegedly "abruptly pushed aside" a cemetery employee who was attempting to inform the team about regulations prohibiting filming within the cemetery. The Trump campaign has contested this account, claiming they had obtained permission from the families of the deceased soldiers to film. This incident occurred during an event honoring 13 U.S. service members who lost their lives during the withdrawal from Afghanistan three years prior.
